Today is October, 5th. Just one month away to going live. To seeing our dream of having a TEDx event opening its doors at our city, Zaragoza. To be able to check if we can deliver what we, the team behind TEDxZaragoza, can clearly see now on our minds. To putting all our ideas to your test and see where we stand. To turning our hometown into the Happiness World’s Capital. Ambitious, indeed, but doable, as we are now close to prove.
Things are going smooth with the organizational details, but days seem to go by at a faster than desired pace sometimes. We’re still polishing up some of the details, but things are looking better day by day.
The venue is reserved, and we are working with the creative minds of Linea Diseño on creating the right atmosphere at the Sala 2008 of the….. tacháaan !! Palacio de Congresos de la Expo. There is where the event will take place on the 5th of November. The Future of Happiness will occupy one of the most beautiful buildings of the “New Zaragoza“, at the Expo Area, beautifully escorted by the Torre del Agua and the Pabellón Puente. The skilled people of Arstic are also working with us to further enrich the experience with their visual skills, and GlobbTV will broadcast the event live to the world via streaming. Those of you who will attend the event live with us (you should have received our confirmation mail by now. Check your inbox !!) will also enjoy Topi’s Alumni edible vision of happiness. Pure joy, we hope.
All speakers are confirmed, and we are receiving the first, second and in some cases third revisions of their keynotes, and we can confirm you that it’ll be a day full of ideas worth spreading !! ‘Cos that’s what all TEDx events are about, aren’t they?
Our main sponsor, Ibercaja Obra Social, is helping a lot and being really supportive, and we are even talking with them on organizing some side activities the next three months at Zentrum. More on that soon !! Stay tuned.
Our video teaser is still receiving a great amount of praise and attention, and has even been published at the official TEDx Tumblr. Hell Yeah !!
Our “crazy project“, Feelicity, our network of Geo Tagged Happy Moments, developed together with the privileged minds at BIFI, is healthly growing in terms of both users and moments updated to the site, and being installed (and used!!) on an increasing number of iPhones and Android phones ALL-OVER-THE-WORLD. Hell Yeah Again !!
Regarding assistance, although the 100 available seats are gone now, we’ve decided to keep the Sign Up Form open, and we’ll add the name of those who apply from today on, to a waiting list, just in case some of the confirmed assitants fail to fully fulfill the process before October, 9th. Should we have enough people (+50) in that list, we might even set up an official location downtown Zaragoza to enjoy the live streaming, so that you can share the experience with like-minded people. We hope to have a decision on that in 15 days, so, if you are interested on attending, leave a comment here or better yet Sign Up now.
